My old apartment
I went back to the old apartment to clear out one final load of trash and was surprised to find the place gutted.

This was the furnace room and storage room; not part of my apartment. But I'm standing in what was my apartment. There used to be walls here.
My living room was to the left of the water heater, with a wall separating them. You can also see the plumbing from the bathroom to the far left.
Her name isn't Sheila Jr. I really need to find out what her name is! We were there for her birthday, after all!
She's in pajamas, ready for the long drive home.
She was making some face for Maggie and I kept trying to get a picture of it, but missing.

I stopped by to pick up some trash rather than leave it for the landlord and was surprised to find all these fixtures out in the yard.
The landlord told me he was pullling up the old carpet...
Where are the walls? Where's the ceiling? Where's the floor?
There used to be a short hallway here, with the kitchen to the left.
This open space used to be a finished storage room, a furnace room, a bedroom, a living room, bathroom, kitchen, and oil tank room just one short week ago.
The shower was on that rectangular concrete pad on the left. The toilet and exhaust fan were straight ahead, and the sink was on the right.
Standing where the living room used to be, I wasn't able to see any of this when the walls existed.
The ceiling lamp used to be the light for my bedroom closet. The wet-vac is sitting in what used to be my bedroom. You can't quite see it behind the framing, and I forgot to take a picture of it, but you can see just a little bit of the black pipe rising vertically from the sump pump. The right angle at the top of it and the horizontal pipe leading from it to the wall are liberally wrapped in duct tape.
This is where my bedroom was. Funny, with all he stripped out of the place, he left my shades on the windows. The second window here was in a storage room that wasn't part of my apartment.
My bed used to be under that white junction of pipes overhead. They're probably wrapped in asbestos fabric.
